Columbo (1971)

Columbo: When you first saw him, Lt. Columbo, looked like a bum that just came off the street. He had a bumbling demeanor, was overly polite and seemed to chomp on the same short cigar on a daily basis. However, beneath all that comical exterior was probably the most dogged investigator on the Los Angeles Police Department. Columbo was often called on to investigate high profile murders that involved the rich and famous. The culprits were often amused by him and just as they thought they were going to get away with murder, Columbo would find a way trap them or find enough evidence to make them confess.

Wow! This one is a good one for Columbo fans.

Peter Falk as Columbo is THE TV detective, all the rest pale by comparison. Funny, clever and such a tease! LOL! Seems to me I have watched him forever but still episodes I haven't seen pop up! How many were actually made?

Personal favourites are the George Hamilton, Jack Cassidy, Robert Culp and Patrick Mcgoohan episodes. Peter Falk was a good friend of John Cassavetes so he made a starring role in Etude in Black and his wife Gena Rowlands in Playback. The episode that has become the main "Cult" in the Columbo series is the Robert Culp "Double Exposure" ie. subliminal cuts (blips. Peter Falk was a genius to develop this series. Top drawer TV.

I Looooove Columbo! But some proofs are so weak that it would not even get a real DA to lift up an eyebrow and even less a cold minded murderer to break into a confession. But the show is still and always such a pleasure to watch. RIP Mr FAULK and thank you for all your legacy

Massive props to the efforts behind uploading these! Considering these episodes amount to roughly 200-230MB each, these are actually decent quality for the size. I now have series 1-7 (total: 10.43GB), which is what I wanted. I didn't want to buy the boxset for
