Watch Flash Gordon: In this update of the 1930s comic strip, Flash Gordon is a football hero who is skyjacked aboard Dr. Hans Zarkov's rocketship along with beautiful Dale Arden. The threesome are drawn into the influence of the planet Mongo, ruled by Emperor Ming the Merciless. Ming has been testing the Earth with unnatural disasters, and deeming it a threat to his rule, he plans to destroy it. He also intends to take Dale as his concubine. Flash must avoid the amorous attentions of Ming's daughter, and unite the warring kingdoms of Mongo to rescue Dale and save our world. |

Am I the only one to notice that the sound used for Flash's power window in the beginning of the movie is the same sound used in the Alien movies? That sound was definitely used for the loaders and maybe for some blast doors or something.

I dis agree with some of these comments, i think Flash Gordon is Great, but not good, well maybe for a 80's :P, but nowadays it is just bad effects :P but overall, eventhough i know i shouldn't, i fking love it :D

Flash looks like a blond Kelso from That 70's Show, anyway this movie was funny to watch after 5 or 6 bong loads, plus I was just to stoned to change it. I give the movie 2/5 and the soundtrack 5/5

You have to love and thank Ted for the revival of this appauling 80's "syfy" it was bad then and will still be bad now. The only good thing about this film is the song. Gotta love Queen!!!
