"Eloquent in its brevity" That line was so funny when senator Finnister got stumped by Nicks rebuttal. This movie is smart, funny and the acting is great.

The dialogue in this movie was great. The lead was very charismatic, exactly what you'd expect in this role. Overall good movie

I stumbled upon this flick unexpectedly and thought it was a GREAT watch! The acting, the plot, and the philosophy behind it (make your own choices... & pay the mortgage :-D ). The dialogs were more than amazing! (it always fascinated me how people can speak so greatly and profoundly in a calm, yet very argumentative manner). 10/10

hmm just googled it and 5.4 MILLION people die each year from smoking; therefore , I suppose my new year resolution will be not to smoke another cig again...1 more thing for u to contemplate why is tobacco legal and weed is illegal? They are both plants. Too bad we live in a monopoly. DO NOT PASS GO DO NOT COLLECT $200 go directly to jail. Oh and btw I can tell you firsthand smoking weed has healing power, it is a herb. It calms the nerves...It does put black stuff in you (duh) but has never been proven to cause cancer as tobacco certainly does.Have we learned anything from history with alcohol prohobition? Obviously not. Weed can only be legally prescribed to patients suffering from a medical condition as it is classified as an "illegal narcotic"The problem is most people can't even get a medical card, to buy weed from these professional drug dealers who are filthy rich and want to keep it illegal/expensive. well i'm gonna stop ranting and watch this PROPOGANDA. I like my comment so plz don't mark as useless as this was a very intelligent comment from my perspective.

i really liked this movie. it's a movie based on 'bullshit.' personally, bullshit is my best weapon because it's my only weapon. bullshit to me, is what water is for fish; i'd soon suffocate without it. and who of us are immune to it? how many of us smoke cigarettes? drink alcohol? eat mcdonalds? still with a no good boy/or girl friend? at some point, against our better judgement and good conscience, someone bullshitted us all that the aforementioned were a good idea, and since then, we've just held on to that bullshit and used it upon ourselves to stick it out with something that we know is no good for us. yup, with enough bullshit, i can land myself the perfect girl. i can do her wrong to no end, and in the morning, she'l still love me, and buy my cigarettes, booze and mcdonalds. i love bullshit...

Reveling in politically incorrect humor, Reitman takes no prisoners in his debut feature that tackles everything from political hypocrisy to baby seals. In the end, Nick and the world in which he traffics ends up a comic interpretation of a serious situation, and while the amoral ambiguity of the entire film is intriguing for a while, in the end you realize this patient has no pulse.
