Robert De Niro plays his role excellently in this movie, very good movie 4/5

Good movie, filled with suspense, and twists.

I just hate kids in these type of movies they are annoying! 5.7/10 This movie felt a lot like Godsend which also starred De Niro and that was a turd too:/ Dakota Fanning was annoying as hell! I might of enjoyed it more if I hadn't of known the ending before I started watching this movie. De Niro made me laugh at one part during this film which was surprising:L It's in the last 20 minutes when he calls Dakota a liar it just made me chuckle for some odd reason ahah:L This movie was better than Godsend but it was still kinda crap.

Fantastic original thriller ! I remember watching this for the first time years ago and just watched it again and it still left the same impression - really really good movie and Dakota is perfect as usual , spot on !

First of all, I hardly recognized Dakota's adolescent self. Both DeNiro and Fanning don't seem to have much father and daughter togetherness. Although the twist at the end does explain the lapse, it doesn't quite make up for the absence of relationship. Dakota didn't show any signs of being terrified, or complicit. What we get from her is catatonia (the absent stare) most of the time. In toto, the film missed the mark. It doesn't really make it as a horror film up to Shining standards. As a thriller it does get a couple of points, but it's very slow. If anyone didn't guess who Charlie was before the end, I'd give them a medal. It wasn't a twist, it was a dead end.2/5

Shocking ending, but only because it makes no sense. I won't go too indepth since i dont want to throw out any spoilers, but there are plenty of unanswered questions at the end. You could tell the conclusion was hastily written (after an hour of extremely slow progression), the basic idea being "just give it a twist", but sadly the twist doesnt make sense if you think about it. All in all I give this a 1/5. Cheap twist and extremely slow start.

Watched the other endings and can't say it ruined the story. Great acting, chilling and appropriately made. Not a brilliant one but a must watch
