Watch The Man Who Wasn't There: 1949, Santa Rosa, California. A laconic, chain-smoking barber with fallen arches tells a story of a man trying to escape a humdrum life. This is not an action packed film but rather a story that continues to draw you deeper into it self. lol yeah one of those but have to say very good....8/10..

Rarely do you find so many character actors used in a single film: two guys from that Wings show Brian Haley & Tony Shalhoub, Richard Jenkins & Michael Badalucco who I recognize from countless things and Jon Polito from that Seinfeld episode! (fancy boy smother me with kisses)

Rarely does a film refuse to explain itself to this degree and yet keep me hanging on every turn of events. A subversive use of Beethoven, to boot. Excellent, 5/5 stars from me.
