Watch Today's Special: Samir is a sous chef in Manhattan. He quits when he's not promoted - his boss says his cooking lacks soul. He decides to find an unpaid internship in Paris, but his father suffers a heart attack keeping him home for a few weeks. Samir must run the family's failing Indian restaurant in Queens. He can't cook Indian food, so things get dire when the chef quits: Samir tracks down Akbar, a cabbie who claims to have cooked for British royalty in Bombay. Akbar cooks with mind, heart, and gut - and offers philosophy as well. With the help of Carrie, whom he met at the Manhattan restaurant, Samir begins to enjoy the work. But will his father approve, and if not, what then? |

I really enjoyed this movie, very 'feel-good'. I'm a foody so I particularly liked this but even if your not...I recommend giving it a watch. I got a kick out if it and 5 of 5 for me! I was so happy to finally see it get here. Thank you SO much contributors!

Feel good movie really, about accepting your roots and having trust in yourself and what you do. I really enjoyed watching it, as it has a good pace, a few interesting storylines and it might be a bit predictable (as all feel good movies follow a certain pattern) but not disturbingly. 8,5/10

I had seen this video advertised a couple of times on various websites but never gave it a chance. I really enjoyed it. Thank you Trish3809 for recommending it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend afternoon or weekday evening watch. The movie really does make you feel good.

Thanks for the help! I could never figure out how to watch ufliq vids til now and i never anted to donlaod stuff on my computer in case it contained viruses. This movie was sooo good. I like the whole feel of it. Made me feel warm inside and had me smiling a bit. Really great and original. 5/5 I'd really recommend this one, and it's appropriate for the whole family. Food looks sooo delish as well! Deff a great for foodies all around the globe. :)

Really a nice flick, gave me a good feeling and made me laugh a couple of times. I enjoyed the acting too. I give this movie a 9/10.
