I have been waiting to enjoy another movie with Ashton Kutcher in it other than The Butterfly Effect.. this is that movie. Kevin Costner does a great job as well. Excellant movie regarding Coast Guard rescue swimmers!

This is a wonderful movie; great cast, great chemistry, GREAT story...Love the US Coast Guard! Kevin Costner is amazing, and WOW Ashton pulls off a very convincing extremely serious emotional scene...not his typical comedy role. One of my fav's. Enjoy, but keep some kleenex near by ;-).

Kevin Costner has always been one of my favorite actors, this was awesome. It also really cemented for me the fact that Ashton can be a serious leading man. Most of his other roles save for Butterfly effect haven't been with very serious movies. I loved this movie, it's a favorite of mine.

Really good movie. I enjoyed it and would recommend watching it.

It's very similar to Top gun coast guard style. Good acting over all, I actually enjoyed this more than I'd ever thought I would.

this movie makes me cry every time.. but Ashton Kutcher can save my life any day!!

Watched it with an open mind but thought it was sub par for the genre. First tho, i dont think Kutchers much of an actor but respect Costner, so figured the story would split the difference. Unfortunately thoght the storys really weak, and the acting from both of them just as bad, and the pace too slow and uneventful. Feels like another formulaic script written overnight and bolstered with generic plot devices to spice up.

Costner and Kutcher worked well together,the mentor/student relationship was realistic and done well, the relationship btwn Ashton and tht chick was wanting though. There were a few intense moments for sure and all in all it was a good movie that I am glad I watched, I've wanted to see it 4 a while. It's not the best movie I've seen them in but the film itself is entertaining and worth watching and it did give you a new appreciation for the USCG. 3/5

Although I am not a huge fan of Ashton Kutcher, I think he was great in this movie. Having Costner there every step of the way helped, I'm sure. Good movie, worth a watch if you haven't seen it and are trolling the waters looking for a flick. About an 8/10 for me... "so others may live", one of the best mottos I have ever come across.

I love this movie. Kevin Costner & Ashton Kutcher were so great in their rolls. An excellent movie filled w/ determination, inspiration, motivation, and yes, emotion, that too. I very much recommend this. I'll give it a 5/5 b/c IMO, I think it's that great.

I really liked this movie, it was a great look into the training program of the US Coast Guard. Ashton Kutcher did a fantastic job working along side Costner. I have been meaning to watch this for some time, now that I have it will sit proudly on my favorites list. 5/5

Outstanding movie, I've seen it plenty of times and it does not get old. Highly recommend it and a must watch around people that aren't contently trying to you while your watching it LOL. Enjoy :D

This movie portrays courage and passion of people like them to save lives even they will lose their own. A very good movie and a tear bringer as well,. two thumbs up.
