A little creepy a little funny. One of those movies that may not be your favorite but you like to watch now and then.

It was a disjointed movie which didnt know what it was supposed to be - slapstick comedy or fairy tale - the humour was a bit intrusive and sometimes the plot lost its way - a little out of sync and uncoordinated between scenes - however a bit of fun and grim tales from Bros Grimm.

Novel way of telling the tale of the Grimm brothers and their fairy tales. Still, it was entertaining and a good watch.

I say that this film is about all the loved childhood stories with darker twist to them. I truly enjoyed this movie, I would give it 9/10

watch it out of curiosity...for fans only....

If you don't want you perspective on the brothers Grimm changed, I suggest you don't watch this film, couse that will happen. If you simply don't care you should watch it. It's a good film with great actors and a fine story where they managed to put all the Grimm stories in it. (Altough some in a weird way:S)

This movie kicked buttocks. Very entertaining. Damon & Ledger together were an excellent mix. 9/10

3*, i expected more from its grim advertisement. but the story is not as laden with fairy tale content, or anything magical. just about 2 story-tellers traveling. not inventive.

This is a great movie, i saw a lot of fairy character. And Heath Hedger and Matt Damon done a good performance on their character.

I thought this was a really great movie with the plot and the acting. It didn't seem at all like a low budget movie and I am very surprised I've never heard of this before. Compare to "Van Helsing". i couldnt go to sleep until the end was finished giving me only a couple hours before work.

watched this a couple of yrs back and i remember enjoying it, it also enjoyed it this time. the trick is, wait a couple of yrs and it feels almost new. i think this is a very good, simple, fantasy movie, little creepy, as it is grimm, so not too innocent. sad to see heath ledger...too many young die...i wonder if it was always this way, just never were told the truth about how famous folks died mostlikely, to save shaming the family. off top of my head...Marilyn, Judy Garland, maybe even Elvis, MaMa Cass, Jim Morrison, etc..

This was a horrible movie and made a mockery of the Grimm brothers. 3/10

Well, Terry Gilliam is a good enough director not to spoil completely the story, as most of others would probably do on his place, but he is apparently not good enough for this kind of tasks. Comparisons to Tim Burton are inevitably appearing in mind while watching the movie, and these comparisons are not for Gilliam. No, the movie isn't bad at all, one simply sees in almost every frame, that it could be done better, if would be done by Burton, it's simply his territory, territory, where Gilliam is a stranger. Everything - acting, photography, even special effects (what is quite surprising nowadays) lack authenticity. Nevertheless, still quite entertaining story.

VERY GOOD MOVIE ,VERY INTERESTING.

A dark brilliant 'Grimm' fairytale, the sets and costumes are wonderful and the actors are great. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger, make an awesome team. There are some humorous and creepy moments but I'd rather watch this type of twisted fairytale, it's much more entertaining! 5/5

THIS WAS ENTERTAIng but nothing really special ...could lump it with Van Helsing but damon is pretty funny in this.

absolutely love this movie. the storyline is amazing! i love how they've put new twists on old fairy tales. the acting was amazing! wonderful all together everything about it is wonderful! 10/10 definitely one of my favorites, and heath ledgers in it so that makes it all the more!
