Awesome movie, can't believe I haven't watched it before now. Love the acting, plot, everything 5/5

Great cast, great effects, great storyline, great choreography in the fighting. I love the Matrix trilogy and this film was really reminiscent of it.

I watched this for Christian Bale. The movie itself was 'different'. The director took a rather unique approach that you can only appreciate when you watch this one over and over again. Worth a watch.

Decent story, decent acting, decent film 4/5

A bit slow to start but give it time all in all it is a great movie! Great actions scenes 9/10 for me.

The film was sort of weak in my eyes. I could write a book about all the stuff that went wrong and made no sense here, but to name a few reasons i don't like it- 1. Art is illegal yet theres a beautiful sculpture in the main office. 2.No matter how long the fight goes on, when the hero looks at the next bad guy, the bad guy is always scrambling to take aim and fire, as if he was oblivious to the hero shooting the other 20 guys in the room. WTF ? 3. the whole point of this movie revolves around the "clerics" having no emotions. Yet they speak with anger/conviction several times throughout the movie. 2.5/5 Good special effects and some good parts of drama, but full of holes.

Weird movie. Good, but weird. Like a futuristic nazi world. Had more twists at the end than a crooked pretzel. Worth watching. 8/10

What a great way to spend a night watching this movie!Plenty of action, great acting,storyline and script to keep one on the edge of their seat. Lots of food for thought as well.Forgot I had seen this awhile back and remembered trying to think of what this movie was called while reflecting on the final fight scene a few months back, but I couldn't remember it's name for the life of me. A seriously great show for those who love lots of action,and also want something that makes you think about what you just saw. 5/5

John Woo did the Gun-Fu thing first in 1988, and has done it many times since then. Woo saw gunfights in musical terms: His primary conceit was the shootout as dance number, with great attention paid to choreography, the movement of both actors within the frame. He loved to send his shooters flying through the air in surprising ways, far more poetically than in any real-life scenario. He frequently diverted to slow motion and he specialized in shooting not merely to kill, but to riddle -- his shooters often blast their opponents five and six times. After reading that you can see that the makers of Equilibrium followed in the masters footsteps.

Really fun movie. Some cheesy parts but thats ok. Fans of the matrix would love it, and I think this came out before the matrix :L Found this after watching some of Bales newer movies and it was a nice surprise. If your a fan of Christian Bale, you should also watch "The Machinist"

nice, considering its a 10 year old film it hasnt aged to badly given that the whole film is set in the bleakest of times - not a classic but worth atleast one watch if you are struggling for something to kill time with
