Ok jt not that good at acting but worth a watch

Sometimes a movie catches you off guard and pleasantly surprises you, as this one did me. It's rough around the edges and unpolished, to be sure, but beyond the gritty feel of it, it plays out well--and, after all is said and done, a diamond in the rough is still a diamond: 7/10.

this was good! their petty arguing was really funny and so characteristic of real families. not too cheesy either, despite the romance. some good lines in too. 3.5/5

Billed as a comedy but there is nothing funny about this miserable road trip about an Extremely stubborn son & his alcoholic father. No laughs just one depressing snoozefest. 2/10

Bored me to tears

Very good, 10/10. Real down to Earth, not many films have that feeling. Just like a true family.

It's a very realistic catch of family relationships. I felt like home. We have those difficult half brioken half loving relations too. You feel like home but you are scared it might break. You never really talk so no damage will be done. I love that movie. Awesome Jeff Bridges. He reminds me of my dad. I think all dads resemble each other at that age. Always distant but needed and in a way caring. 9/10 Some moments are over the top perfect though!!

If you haven't been brainwashed or had all of your brain cells deadened by Hollywood's obsession with over the top special effects, sex, violence and vulgar language, then you'll enjoy relaxing with this heart-warming film. It's character and story driven rather than intense action and flashy camera work. Nothing too spectacular or original about it. The acting was good and had a few funny spots in it but it's definitely worth watching...
