5/5 Wowed me! Love James Spader! Good special effects! Ending was surprisingly excellent in my opinion.

Thomas Lee is a pseudonym used by director when they realize their movie is bad and doesn't wanna ruin their reputation by puuting their own name as the director. Alan Smithee is another name usually used for this purpose.

I usually like Walter Hill movies. Hard Times,Streets of Fire,Last Man Standing,The Warriors and Wild Bill were great action movies. But this movie was very disappointing and some parts were laughably bad. It has a very silly story and the execution is not satisfactory too. It's a shame coz it had some fine actors like James Spader,Angela Bassett and Robin Tunney.

How can you guys say this is a good movie? Pretty much this movie is about screwing each other in space; I saw this vid when I was like 10 and pretty much used it to get off it. .5/5 stars. This movie could have been so much better but after watching it now, I realized how horrible is actual is. Skip this one. It could have been so much better. Check out what the deleted scenes were and you will understand.

Good space scifi. I mean it's no Dune or Star Wars by a long shot but it's right up there with movies like Event Horizon and Red Planet. Haven't seen the guy from "Sixteen Candles" in a while so that was strange but he played the role well. Not much of a plot but there's enough of one, I enjoyed it b/c I love space sci-fi, if you don't then you might not be into this. This *Supernova* is alot better than the *2012 Supernova* made last year though so don't get the 2 confused. Although you may or may not get into it this is NOT a B movie like the other one was. This was like a 2.5/5 for most ppl, a 3/5 for me. I'd say it's worth watching sure.

Don't know why this movie got ripped so badly. Good film. Could have been a lot better though - I planned on skipping though most of the movie to see how it would be, but was mesmerized by the visuals... Of all the stuff that can happen out of space - what are the chances of your crazy boyfriend coming back.. Know whatI take it back.. this movie is okay, satifisfactory.. "C," "C+" at the most.

If you are a die hard science fiction fan, this film is worth a watch. The visual effects are decent considering its time period and consists of 2 well known actors followed by a few second rate, retired and up-and-comings only filling out a cast that could fit in my kitchen. The plot, which being far from original and at times painfully predictable, just barely enough to keep interest despite leaving me unfulfilled at the end. It began with a lot of potential but as the film went on, instead of expanding it seemed to pidgeon hole itself into every other science fiction film plot. Overall, I give this film a 5/10 which is .6 points more than IMDB gave it. Just call me generous. Oh, btw, this film is mislabeled as directed by Walter Hill, it is actually directed by Thomas Lee.

@bloodycreek: The movie was essentially directed by Walter Hill. However, the studio did not like the finished product, and brought in an editor to tinker with it. The studio still did not like it, so they brought in Francis Ford Coppola to fix it. However, the studio considered the resulting film as still inadequate, and authorized a new series of edits and re-shoots. Hill and Coppola did not allow the studio to use their names in the credit. But they needed a director credit, so they used "Thomas Lee," which is a pseudonym for Walter Hill.

Doesn't get interesting until about 30 minutes into the movie or didn't for me. Didn't care much for the very ending of the movie either. Did like the cast though 3/5
