WOOW i really loved this movie and was so heartbreaking definitly a movie to watch espicially if u like child abuse stories

This movie was just heartbreaking! All three 'Kevin Lewis's did a great job, but I loved Augustus Prew's (teen Kevin) performance the best. His physical and emotional pain were exhibited so clearly through his hesitating manner of speech and movement, I just fell in love with this movie. So inspiring! 10/10

I'm going to allow this movie to marinate in my mind for a while before I make a complete comment as to what I entirely think of it, but until then I highly suggest for anyone to watch this film. I can't believe I kept this film in my bookmarks for so long, but I am proud that I have watched it. It is a drama, crime, inspirational, emotional, and surprisingly enough has a "tiny weeny bit" of comedic moments that certainly made me laugh and lessen just a bit of the tension for the hour and half while watching it. Let's not put so much focus on it being a "true story" because regardless if it were fiction or non-fiction character such a life has been lived by several people in the real world regardless the name. BTW the film was directed more than perfect. A must see at one time or another. I rate this film a 10/10.- Stolee

pretty good movie. And i thought my childhood was bad. holy cow

omg i cried sp hard when i watched this... his life was soo hard and his mother is a malicious woman.. she beat him up for no apparent reason but the endng was what was so touching. this movie is a must see b/c itsignifies that no matter how hard life is, you can pull through yourself up in the end 10/10

This was an amazing film and I'm very glad to have stumbled upon it today. That's what it's all about right there. Looking forward to reading the book. Very inspiring film. 5 stars
