This movie is a terrific. I love modern day adaptations of Shakespeare, especially when it has to do with politics, battle, and espionage. Ralph Fiennes is intense in this film which is kind of a switch from the cool, and suave, sophisticated guy he normally plays. All the other casting was well done as well. As for these half wits who say they don't understand it or didn't like it, stick to commenting on movies that are more your intellectual gear like Tropic Thunder or Pineapple Express. If you do happen to have more than six brain cells then definitely watch this. It's one of the best modernizations of Shakespeare I have ever seen.

You sir just should stick with movies that don't take a lot of brain power like transformers.

The dialogue ruined it for me...couldn't make it more than 10 mins. I bet this would have kicked ass if they had just spoke normally.

Really enjoyed this movie, it forces the person that is watching to have a broader vocabulary,and that is a good thing.

Very good movie, I understand the dialog but why is it set in modern times rather than ancient Rome? My guess is they were trying to reach a broader audience, but if that were the case why the Shakespearean dialogue? Audio could have been better defiantly recorded in a theater by some one with a cold. but still 7/10

Great movie! totally understood what was going on, it makes you realise what life is like in War!

As I am not a "student" of Shakespeare, I could only make it thru 45 min. of this nonsense. I'm sure my comment will be considered useless by those more cerebral than I, but Alas poor Yorrick, wouldest thou petition my soul to suffer, nay, thine ear to bend to the mere drivel of jibberish blah, blah, blah, blah.....................................4/10

Shakespearean Old English dialogue with fine performances all around. Not for everybody though. Enjoy!!!

Coudn't understand it at all :S Expected more to be honest.....

Some good stuff here. Impressive. Even though at times it was extremely difficult to follow (especially if you were one like me to fall asleep in high school during English Literature), it was powerfully acted and darkly engaging enough that you at least come out with the bare gist of the story by conclusion of the film. I liked it. 7/10

Not really what I was expecting.....

Coriolanus is excellent for me. I love Shakespeare and Action flicks. If you just like guns and explosions and no story or thought, this isn't for you.

while i object to you calling yourself a piece of shit (haha though I say that shit all the time myself) I know what you mean. We urban piece of shits actually inherited more of the shakespearean era linguistic legacy (by way of the south) than most Americans or modern Brits. And there is a nice cutting directness and fluidity to shakespeare's wordcraft.

A good movie, a great adaptation and I wish the sound was better. It's hard to hear what they are saying at times, even with audio cranked all the way up. Thanks uploader.

Brilliant movie! 10/10. Acting was phenomenal, especially from Ralph. Acting was a little rough from Gerald, but shakespeares language isn't easy so its understandable. If you listen carefully and let the movie pull you in you can easily understand whats going on and what they are saying(: Absolutely splendid film! Great directorial debut from Ralph as well!

Maybe you people are too stupid to comprehend "Shakespeare talk"? Ever consider that...?
