My best friend got a Great Dane when he came back from Afghanistan to help him with his PTSD. They were inseparable, but My buddy had to move into a smaller place that wouldn't allow him to have a big dog. So he took it to live with his brother 700 miles away at a farm. Two days later he got a call that Andrew had gotten out and was hit by a car. This devastated my buddy because of his relationship with him. So 4 months goes by and out of no where he gets a call that 20 miles away animal care and control has found his dog. Andrew had gotten out right after my buddy left and started walking home. He was 30 pounds under weight and so excited when he saw my buddy he almost passed out. Loyalty.

I have three dogs that are rescues. I tend to do what I can when it comes to freeing dogs from the pound. I have one dog in particular that is extremely loyal to me and has to be no more than a foot away. He is 8 now and we have been through a lot together. I am 6' 2", 220 lbs. I have gone to the Marines, done MMA, chew tobacco and wear boots. I am a man; and I cried like a baby. I hugged my dog so tight after watching this I think I broke some ribs. He is my best friend who takes rides with me in my truck everywhere and sleeps (more like spoons with me) every night. I love my dogs.

Such a wonderful, heartbreaking story, made me wake my dog up just to love on him. Animals are truly loving and loyal no matter how cruel the world can be.

Well, I just had to get out the old handkerchief despite myself from about half way through to the end...what does this say about the human condition or lack thereof?

This story of the relationship between a man and his faithful bog who waits for his return is amazing, and inspiring and deeply moving.Perhaps we are given glimpses of these kinds of animals to help us learn from them to be more dare we say human?

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I put it in my favorites but I cried so much and I know that will happen again if I watch it a second time. I don't know why your comment was downvoted to 60%, but I upvoted it because what you say is the truth.

if you can tell me dogs aren't intelligent, then you should be able to tell me what they dream.

This movie was so touching I do not feel words can even describe the emotions it takes you through. It was a water shed for me. Now that is what I call love and devotion. An animal can give more love, and care just as deeply if not moreso than humans. 10/10!!!

They are an amazingly, fierce&loyal.I raised 3 litters,10,12&13,in each litter. When my ex would take the babies in the stroller, the female constantly circled them.No male was allowed to approach them, but she would let females close. She only allowed close family&friend to hold the babies.Hats off to them. There are many stories of their loyalty.
