Watch Cornbread, Earl and Me: Nathaniel "Cornbread" Hamilton was the black urban dream and a hero to youngsters Wilford Robinson and Earl Carter. Shortly before he would have become the first man from his community to go to college, he demonstrates his scholarship-winning running ability to his friends and admirers in the neighborhood. At the same time, the police are on a manhunt for an armed rapist. They mistake Cornbread for the rapist and shoot him dead in the street. Actor Lawrence Fishburne is simply adorable as a kid in this film. He plays a major role in this movie, which exploits a powerful depiction of how all people regardless of race, creed, color or ethnic background has a right to justice and equality in this country. Definitely worth the time to watch! I rate this one a 4/5.

This movie was pretty good!! I enjoyed every minute of it....Sometimes the acting was kind of bad, but this was made back in the day anyway.I really liked the message it sent out and the main character (Fishburne) and the attitude of his mother. I wish all mothers were like her, I think we would have a lot more stronger people out in this world today. I give this a 4/5...a good watch!

Wow! This movie was actually really touching. As mentioned by another commenter the acting was a little off at times, but it was still enjoyable. I give it 7.5/10!

I thought this was a fun kid movie, it was more serious than i realized. Took me by surprise, in a good way. I enjoyed watching it. 4/5 stars.
