This was a wonderful movie filled with some laughs and a lot of moments that touched my heart as I felt deeply for those mistreated..

and yet here you are bashing someone. by the way I thought this movie was very touching.

There was nothing funny about this movie to me Except for the special ingredient lol ! It was overwhelmingly sad . However it was a good reminder of how far we have come and how far we still have to go . 8/10

This movie will take every award this year, this is a true work of art, the casting director could not have done a better job, the sets, the props all of it is Mississippi in 1960, I was there, this is a true classic and a must see I cant imagine anyone giving this a negative review 10/10

Excellent movie. Usually movies like these stir inner anger for the way people were treated which cause them to be afraid to speak out. I am glad that they did speak out cause in a way it's made life now better than then. Change never come about if we as a people, not race, don't ever take that first step regardless of what we think/know could happen. Rightousness always prevail, this was a very good and sometimes funny movie, but as I laughed, I still kept in mind, the real story. I learn a long time ago to never judge a person until I get to know them. I want watch the movie again, because of the feelings it evoke in me, but I'm so glad I did see it.

Lovely performances makes this far too clean and neat story, not merely palatable but enjoyable

My Favorite film of the year well written and well acted 10/5

Oh, wow. This was absolutely wonderful. Honestly, this was wonderful. It had such a beautiful story line with an incredibly rich and seasoned historical background. This movie could make me laugh whole-heartedly but it could also bring me to tears every time I was made to grieve for the characters. This beauty of a movie must have come from a book that has been so beautifully scripted which must explain how it so cleverly became translated into this masterpiece. I don't know how the director did it, but boy did he do it right. I would recommend and then recommend it again. It is worth seeing. Watch it. It's worth it.

I just want to say this movie was outstanding. I have continued to recommend it to folks I know. A lot of laughter and tears on this one. I live in Mississippi so it does hit close to home for me. Some of those negative characters in the movie are still walking around down here!

I cried/laughed several times, being a black woman myself, I felt what is was like for my family back in the days. I wish people would just understand that times have changed and that nowadays, people are equals. This movie is just amazing and I hope people still remember it in decades. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU WATCH IT 100/10 !

I'll bet you ladies are the only ones going to see this film cause any proper straight man would never watch a drama film if they do they have some major issue or that they are a closet case meaning that they are gay and to ashamed to admit it cause you will never catch me watching these pathetic chick flicks only if I am with a chick that's the only reason I would watch these kind of films.
