lol...some of the comments here kinda remind me of the message they passed in a southpark episode, where some folks though they saw and spoke of things in such a sophisticated matter, that they would actually sniff and relish their own smug farts. But thats just me....oh i still think the movie was lame.

yawwwwwn.....this was a really boring movie. maybe its the music. or perhaps the bleak, grey setting.

it was ok, got starts off really slow but the last 45 minutes are great. 3/5

ick. makes me wanna NOT read the book. quite dark and gothic. i guess, unlike most "goths", my soul is not inky-black and grim enough for me too enjoy this movie (rolling eyes). i do enjoy a little melancholy, but this was just creepy.

movie was good, don't think they could have done much better with this. the subtle effects was a great addition. i haven't read the book but i'm sure i would've enjoyed the book better.

I've always like the story of Dorian Gray. I like the movie though slow at the start. The acting was good, may even watch this again. 4/5

I am a fan of the book, but a fan of the movie, as well. I know that books are not often translated to film well, but I think they did a good job here, overall, especially in capturing some of the more thoroughly dissolute and taboo aspects of Gray's sensuality and his descent into it. Barnes was an excellent choice for the role, whatever the case: 9/10.

I loved the book and i loved the movie. The actor did a great job recreating Dorian Gray. This movie is amazing, not a moment of boredom...just watch it!

in my opinion Lord Wooten was the more evil of the two in comparison with Dorian... Great movie, 9.5/10... Ben Barnes is an absolutely flawless example of a man...

It's been awhile since I read the novel. It was pretty much true to my memory but maybe a little more risque. Overall a good film with a good ending and a great moral.

Intense and quite creepy to say the least. I've been waiting for them to make this film after reading the novel in grade school. Definitely worth watching if you can handle sitting through the whole thing.

Really interesting and insightful adaptation of Oscar Wilde's work (and possibaly life). I have not read the book, yet, but think I might well do now. Acting was superb, Colin Firth's character was deliciously decadent & devil-like until his world changed and Ben Barnes was briliant 9/10

Ben was brilliant as Dorian. Colin Firth was just a delicious bonus to this already good movie. I love how dark and sinister the atmosphere is. It had some really great moments. 8/10

I have watched this movie over and over again, i think this is one of the most closest and best adaptation of the book. Great jobs by all the actors and the director. They changed the ending a bit,but anyways it was still good!10/10 it really makes you wonder sometimes.. how your soul looks..:/

in the version that i read which i think is the 1850 one, didn't he have a homosexual lover get rid of basil's body for him after he killed him.

wow i didn't know ben barnes could act like that, amazing movie. he made the deal with the devil in the begining in front of the painting. i cant believe people say it was a weird movie just pay attention the concept is black and white. beauty is not everything, eventually your gonna want other things to have those things you must grow old...

I really liked this movie and would watch it again
