I saw this in the cinema yesterday. it was so loud! i had to hold myself down from jumping......transformer robot thing came out on nowhere. yea, it gave me night mares too.

Just go ahead and skip to the end. Face it. You just want to see what it looks like.

This movie was pretty epic, in my opinion. Definitely worth the watch! 9/10

Way different then what i thought it was going to be. Its a kids movie but an fantastic one! The actor's were great and there was some great comedy scenes at times. I must be a wussy because i thought it was a little scary especially the opening train scene. I would watch it again.

If goonies and E.T. mated and had a baby this is the out come . Too bad it wasn't aborted be for it came out. yes the movie had a high budget ,however the plot was silly and very unreal had Seen B movies with more entertainment value. A 5/10 .

I saw this in the theaters first, and let me tell you it was EPIC. This movie is really exciting, cool, epic, romantic, and funny at times. I don't understand all the bad comments about this movie, because its absolutely amazing! People need to open up their hearts to this. Has a really nice story and touches your heart too. Love it.

Nice acting performance from the kids. A bit soppy but a family film with a message. Like a fusion between the Goonies, ET and Stand by me.

Great camera work. Next time keep it centered and dont make so much noice with the M&M bag you *^%$# oter than that great movie

There's a lot more to the storyline that is seen on the trailer, which is a really nice change. It reminds me a bit of E.T. 5/5

2/5 This movie had tons and tons of problems for me. First, there is a lot of killing, some blood as well. This is not a kids movie at all. Parents be cautious. The plot has a bunch of holes in the story, there was some hard language. I don't really want to see some 12-15 kid yelling about pussy. The acting was fine and the special effects where ok as well. 2/5 in my book due to to many holes in the plot, the error in calling it a kids movie, lack of character development of the nameless alien..."super 8" term really has nothing to do with the movie, other then the homemade movie the kids are trying to make...which I have to say was the best part, sadly i had to wait until the credits to see it lol.

EPIC. I felt like watching "the goonies" in the cinema back in the 80's. 10/10

This was better than I expected but still nothing awesome. Acting was terrific, visual effects were A+++ quality, but the focus of the storyline hopped all over the place and never properly wrapped everything together. Just too many themes that made the movie lose focus.

Give it a 7/10. Was expecting a better movie and a little bit more from Abrams and Spielberg but a good enough movie all the same.

7/10 stars. Its not the goonies, but still fun to watch.

To me this movie was not very interesting...it was kind of lame. It felt like they took a bunch of scenes from different movies and combined them to make this. So 3/5....others may like it, even though I wouldn't be sure as to why.

Great movie i thought it was really sad at times, a little mono tone, but it seemed to fit perfectly with the plot. 10/10,
