Last Man Standing: Mike Baxter is the marketing director for an iconic outdoor sporting goods store. He loves to have adventures while he's traveling for work and, of course, he drives a pick-up truck. While Mike is king of the hill at work, he's the odd man out in a home that is dominated by women -- namely his wife, Vanessa, and their three daughters, 22- year-old Kristin, 17-year-old Mandy and 14-year-old Eve. After being a stay-at-home mom for years, Vanessa recently returned to the workplace and was quickly promoted (much to the dismay of her primarily male co-workers). As a result of Vanessa's increased work load, Mike is pulled into more hands-on parenting than ever before.

tim is the man. yea i love the old Home Improvement references.

Posted by darthKalEL

i think it is what it is... a funny show. its not about long lasting story or plot or even close to what Home Improvement was. Its about Tim being funny per usual.

first season great. second season blows

I really liked the first season, but now with the new cast members and ageing the kid. It's not great anymore. Im just not feeling it.

Home Improvement was a lil better but this is still pretty funny

So awesome! The interaction between Tim and JTT was priceless.

Posted by TracySwingKid

Aw. I was hoping Richard Karn was going to be a part of the show. I love all of the 'Home Improvement' references.

Why did this show become so topical? The first four episodes of this season crammed politics and racism down our throats. This episode is trying to make us accept fracking as a wonderful source of natural gas. Pumping chemicals into the water table is not environmentally sound or sustainable. What is? Landfill gas. If there is one thing Americans have tons of is garbage, mountains of it. The resulting landfill gas is a true renewable source of natural gas. Why promote an environmentally detrimental source of natural gas when there are better options? Better yet, why has this show become a platform for every political or topical hot potato?

Mike Rowe was perfect for Mike's brother! Great episode.

I love how Tim is making this show more like 'Home Improvement'. That was a great show. I enjoyed all of the man things he used to get into.

Ditto Shallee's comment. While the kids are living in their parent's house then they need to follow the rules. It is not too much to ask that they not back-talk or have boys in their rooms. They should be happy they have a beautiful home in which to live and parents that provide them a good life. Yes, I know it's just a TV show, but why can't it provide some guidance like Andy Griffith and shows of that era?

Elvira! So freakin' awesome. The Buzz Lightyear thing was cute, too. I want to hug the writer of this show.

So far, so good. I love how Tim mixes in lines from his other show and movies. When he said 'and beyond' I almost fell on the floor laughing.

1st season=great classic tim allen type humour. dont quite know what happened between seasons 1 and 2 but after watchin a few episodes of season 2 it seems to be not much more than a half hour advertisement for the republican party and their obsession with christian family value bullshit. if it gets any more preachy theyll be showing season 3 on the "christian channel" preceded by a foreword from some southern right wing preacher every week. come on, this used to be a gud comedy show, ow its nothing more than a vehicle for a family value lesson. oh and the babydaddy character may very well be the most irritating human being to ever walk the earth. if you take my advice, watch season 1 then forget season 2 ever got made.

sorry i meant the first season was great, the second season is just rubbish. boyds dad is just irritating!!!!

Posted by crispee

totally agree. boyds dad is not just annoying, although he is immensely annoying, but it just seems like the show is "jumping the shark". there is no logical reason for him to be there other than the producers forcing the writers to write in a "polar opposite" to annoy tim allens character. this is what happens when producers listen to focus groups. focus groups dont know anythin bout comedy.

Posted by psukegreen

So yep i'm done with this show. When I say I want to punch a character more than 3 times I turn it off. Season 2 you just failed.

Posted by psukegreen

Did they change the older girl. Also They went way to heavy on politics.

Posted by Solo713

Run of the mill fodder...this should at least catapult one of the daughters into bigger budgeted roles, or to the pole she goes. Enjoy!!!

It kind of seems like a mix between Home Improvement and 8 Simple Rules. very promising pilot though. I'm so happy Tim Allan is back though. Kind of missed him.

going to get bashed for this, but this is tool time with a different cast. Tim Allen is who Tim Allen was in tool time, but for a retail store. Even the house had a tool time feel too. I did enjoy seeing Dexter's little boy in the show though. I give this a 2/5

Posted by Cindrum

What the fuck is Tim Allen doing with Dexter's son. Dexter's gonna murder yo ass.

Posted by darthKalEL

yea i hate that they changed the actress, but Tim is great and super funny. Hope he doesnt stop doing tv for a long time even if this show doesnt make it, which is fine but He is just excellent!!!!

Posted by fanji90

yes apparently tim doesn't like her and also change role for kristen's husband (nick jonas)

Posted by fanji90

I liked it; I saw 8 simple rules, and it look alike a bit

The first season was great the chemistry between the actors and the comedy was great. the show had a very good long term plot with the oldest daughter and her bettering her self and going to school and all. Then next season they added the annoying boy friend and changed actors for the daughter who i thought was a perfect fit. Now after watching the show it is not the same and the daughter settling for a waitress and with a baby daddy who if i was Tim's character would have shot him the first time he spouted out the bull shit that he did. As it takes two to make a baby and as far as i am concerned he gave up every thing when he knocked her up and left. Irresponsible wast of human flesh any way this show now has no interest for me due to this.

seriously hate cast changes. it changes the whole show. stupid idea

Posted by mike2118

Relax, it's just a TV show. If it affects your life that much, and watching it is such a difficult chore, and you are blogging out anger over a mere TV show. Perhaps a nice therapist would do ya some good, because somebody that wound up over a TV show could probably use some nice little pills. Seriously, dude, chill

Posted by soccergc16

they really need to get rid of boyds dad

Posted by soccergc16

i hate the new daughter and her boyfriend
