Batman: Year One: Two men come to Gotham City: Bruce Wayne after years abroad feeding his lifelong obsession for justice and Jim Gordon after being too honest a cop with the wrong people elsewhere. After learning painful lessons about the city's corruption on its streets and police department respectively, this pair learn how to fight back their own way. With that, Gotham's evildoers from top to bottom are terrorized by the mysterious Batman and the equally heroic Gordon is assigned to catch him by comrades who both hate and fear him themselves. In the ensuing manhunt, both find much in common as the seeds of an unexpected friendship are laid with additional friends and rivals helping to start the legend.

Well done. Gordon > Batman.

The storyline is good, however very rushed. Yes, we've seen this before, but this is a lot different and kind of unpredictable. I also like thta it's more adult than usual, even though the original animated series is great too. All in all great animation and it's fun to see commisioner Gordon being more badass than ever. Not a great movie, but pretty good.

Watchable but not really an Epic in this franchise.Sad to say but Frank Miller's version compared to Nolan's interpretation of it is very far behind. If Nolan made this as is , then Batman would not have demarked itself. Glad Nolan did do Batman Begins in his own right. About this animation, lots of inconsistancies and they try to blend too many big and known figures into a simple story.Feels rushed and incoherant at times. i wish they had spent time in the developpment of Batman gradually in this one instead of leaps of maturity of his alter ego that is not well explained, although we know the procession. This Batman version seems to be illversed of the world he is about to tangle and at times is not very well equipped which poses a question: why wear the suit if it does not protect adequately. Most annoying for me was the narrative aspects the story exploits as the prevailing method of conveying the story while the actors chosen to voice this flick seem to be wrong for the part. Definitely not my favorite Batman and it tries too hard to be a film "a la noir" and you get that this one feels cheap with the animation nearly a stop motion comic at times

I was suprise to find a Batman movie I have not seen and a good one at that.

This was done remarkably well. This is an ideal animation to watch. It is more adult-themed, but some of us remember the comic books. Hope to see more of this in the future. 10/10

While I loved Batman Begins, Nolan's Batman turned out rather lacking in The Dark Knight. It really isn't a fair comparison to a live action film.

Loved it if you ever read the comics year one you will like it too

One of the very BEST Batman movie of the franchise, even better than the motion pictures. Though Catwoman as a prostitute was a big silly stretch, the action was great and Gordon punching up bad guy was cool to watch.

This is one of the coolest Batman animations I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. It is worth noting that this is relatively more adult orientated than most other Batman cartoons, yet I feel that this helps the movie to stand out among the rest. Especially enjoyed Batman aka Bruce Wayne aka Bryan Cranston aka Walter White aka Heisenberg. Top notch. 10/10

THANK YOU for uploading this!!!! THIS is Batman! Driven, skilled, confident. I would rather watch this over Nolan's dumbed down Batman anyday. While I agree Batman should have some armor and better gear, Nolan showed just how too techy Batman can be. The only voice actor wrong for the part was Ben Mackenzie as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Everyone else was fine. It takes alot more than watching some Nolan and Burton films to really get Batman. This has more of the raw essence of the character.

Almost word for word from the comic. Frank miller at his finest. The only better story of batman is the dark knight. Not the crappy movie, but the graphic novel. Batman kicks Supermans butt. A must read for all Batman fans...
