This movie was really good. I thought It was gonna be lame. That's why it took me so long to watch it. But I was pleasantly surprise on how good it was a very real. Great performance by the actor and actresses.

This film had some talent with cinematography. I think the story was well told. You rarely see a movie about an african american butch, even these days. Truely heartbreaking to see how small-minded her mother was, as well as her friend's mother. Worth watching i'd say.

I thought it could have been better, but it was an interesting concept. I felt the stud they choose was too feminine and the ending fell flat for me. 6/10 stars.

It was okay. A couple of scenes in the movie really hit home for me because I can definitely relate and have been through it...but the movie wasn't riveting. It didn't capture me and grab me the way I expected it to.

This was a great film and so refreshing in so many ways.nice to see a side of life that is rarely documented on film. 10 out 10.

EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! Kim Wayans was awesome. It was great to see her acting range. This movie had my attention from the beginning and left me emotional. It made me realize how hard it is for some youth that are struggling with their sexual identity and how alone they feel in this world. Beautiful story

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MOVIE 10/10 IT TOUCHED ON SO MANY POINTS AND KIM WAYNES DID A EXCELLENT JOB PLAYING THE MOTHER I HAVENT SEEN HER EVER ACT AS WELL AS SHE DID IN THIS MOVIE. I AM A STRAIGHT FEMALE BUT I FEEL FOR GAY WOMEN THAT HAVE TO GO THROUGH A IDENTITY CRISIS

Finally, I've been waiting for this movie to come on here for a lonnggg while lol. I found it to be pretty decent. I was glad to see Aasha Davis from South of Nowhere, she's such a cuttie. Overall, I think the movie had a simple feel too it, nothing too intense so it is definitely a good movie for younger people. 4/5

I liked it, but felt some things were left unsaid. It's sad how parents can push a child to the side simply for how they're choosing to live their lives. 8.5/10
