Well, let's see ... It was not as good as I'd hoped, but not as bad as it could have been. If that is damning by faint praise, then Isenhart is damned. The story had tremendous appeal and potential, but on the whole, it failed to deliver. The acting was mediocre, and that is not simply an artifact of dubbing. Isenhart is entertaining enough to watch but is no where near anything more than a B-movie in plate armor. Let the watcher beware. Three big fat average mediocre stars.

Good plot, good use of buildings of the time. Dubbing leaves a bit to be desired, but overall a fairly decent movie. 7/10

It was a good movie. I don't expect the 20 something and younger to get it or even have the attention span to watch it. If there isn't sex or something getting blown up, it is a lost cause to them.

Are you kidding? You obviously didn't pay attention in history class. People didn't bathe with soap back then. Ever hear of the Black Plague? Jesus, kids today. Where would you be without your damn Iphones, Internet and phone apps?

This was AWESOME! I must say though, I almost quit watching it in the first 10 minutes. That was just way too freakin realistic. But I loved the rest of the film. 9/10 stars.

The atmosphere/settings where lovely and realistic looking...The movie had potential and it was nice to see different faces for a change...There is bad acting by some, the music is cheesy at times and it was a VERY LONG MOVIE...It was like watching a cheesy hercules show or that terrible blonde wizard show from channel 11...BEST LINE IN THE MOVIE WHEN 2 MEN ARE SPEAKING and one is being held by his hair,"Tomorrow I'll breathe in your soulees and then you'll be inside me"...LOL!!! Hated the DUMBING DOWN OF WOMEN and to much fun FINGERING THEM...I even heard the HORSES FARTING...LMFAO!!!I sure as hell will never watch this again...If it were a good movie it will have awards and oscars, it DOESN'T...THAT'S THE TRUTH:D

watched the first 90 minutes, i think its unratable cause the english dub is just hopeless, it masks whatever atmosphere might or might not be in the original. Otherwise thought the pace was disjointed, and the story didnt really grab me, but couldnt follow alotof the specifics with persons of interest or character identities, just alotof name dropping for a badly dubbed film

Not bad movie but was expecting something else like lots of actions instead of an investigation. Pretty long movie though but keep things interesting all along...3/5

it was ok for a medieval type film - but why did everyone have to be so dirty - I cannot believe that was the case during the middle ages - water was plentiful - and soap also - why do we always think our ancestors were so awful.

I thought it was a pretty good movie.

I really liked this film, Isenhart was fine as wine, anyways, seemed true to the era, kinda long but kept my interest all the way through 4/5

30 miutes of this was enough.going to watch 13th warrior or black death instead,,,,,just was not in the mood for this one....

Good film. I've seen this here in its original German. This film (on sockshare) is dubbed in English. Enjoyable film.

A medieval detective story - not a bad idea at all. I loved the setting and the costumes. Perhaps the German soundtrack would have suited me better as I think the movie loses credence in its dubbing. But to finish off, I'd love to see more like this

A really good austrian movie, with some nice acting and an original plot. Despite by far historically inaccurate, the locations are incredible, sets are amazingly beautiful and true. The story can be a bit confusing, but it has some action, mystery and love. Great adventure movie, with an honest touch of realism you don't see in every film picturing medieval times.
