This movie is good but I did not like the ending at all. Furthermore, there is no one who would throw something like that away. I give it a 4/5 because I loved the gorilla.

Based on the best selling novel "Congo" by Michael Crichton this is a pretty average sci/fi/adventure movie,as with most movies derived from books this one falls short but still manages to be a watchable flick,if you've not read the book you'll probably enjoy this a lot more,7/10.

I expected a much better movie. This was nice to watch once bt it lacks the feel of adventure o danger n some very cheesy effects spoiled the fun. Laura Linney is a great actress bt she isn't suitable 4 the role in the movie.

I enjoyed this movie, not as much as the book, but then my imagination really works when I read books like this. I think the story is above par, but the acting left a lot to be desired. However, the animation of Amy is incredible, and to this day still blows me away. The jungle scenery alone is also worth the watch. I think you will enjoy it if you are not too critical given the age of the film and that it really is not a normal "sci-fi or mystery" type movie. 8/10 Thanks millions to Putlocker for streaming this - all of you uploaders rock!

awesome adventure movie with a great story line and cast. worth watching.

I'm aware that the description of this film is incomplete, however if you are fine by that and wish to be surprised then do not read my comment. For the rest who know complete synopsis, here is my comment: I suppose as usual that when you get the chance to watch a film after so many years, since childhood, that your memory can at times vary from what you see now. It's obvious at this point that I only recalled the good parts, which last ONLY about seventeen minutes. The film literally takes forever to get to its point. They spend so much time on the travel to the Congo that by the time they get there the directors even forgot what the hell the film was supposed to be about, lol, NO seriously. This film makes you feel as if you're there with them on that tedious journey. Disappointed extremely by the lack of visual and imagination put into the white gorillas, all 10 to 15 or maybe 17 minutes of it. Tim Curry helped me with some of the boredom. They wasted some time with "Amy" (the gorilla) in the beginning of the film. "Dr. Karen Ross" was very annoying and certainly unbelievably prepared with weaponry and gadgets for any old day in the jungle, perhaps she was supposed to be "Inspector Gadget". There's much more to say, but at the end of the day the film is what it is; wasted opportunity. Considering the animatronics that they pulled off, the idea, and the very little visual of the beast I'll rate this film a 2/5.- Stolee

i loved the book

you know i'm a hard sell kind of guy, but this flick was really good, had a lot to offer and the scenery was out-of-sight, good cast as well, racked up a strong: B+. {the action wasn't bad either}.

A very Nice Flick with average caliber actors. The plot and adventure is really enjoyable till the end. The Decor and Fx really push you further into the story .

This isn't even comes close to the Michael Crichton(RIP)Book.I would of liked to see Bruce Campbell to get the leading role.Poor Bruce this movie was his big "chance"and he go killed off after 5 minutes WTF LOL I GIVE 2.5/5

Don't get me wrong, this is a good movie. It just has the weirdest plot ever. That said, the acting's very good and special effects don't disappoint. I just think they could've come up with something more believable, because it is quite entertaining.
