i luve these kind of movies that break comedians out of there average role like with adam sandler in punc-drunk love or will ferrel in stranger than fiction.... i rlly enjoyed this 10/10

I have heard so many people despising this film that I am really surprised how nice it is. Ben Stiller's character is petty, self-centred and not often likeable so I guess that's why so many people disliked this film. However, the very end is delicate and beautiful.

A lot of people found this boring, or annoying, and it kind of is. I guess it's an anti-romcom. The main character isn't very likeable; the ending isn't satisfying - the film kind of starts, goes nowhere much, then ends. I think Greenberg is to Ben Stiller what Ricky Gervais's characters are - what he might have been if he hadn't become a star: disappointed, socially a disaster, a go-nowhere loser, and frankly, a bit of a pr'ck. But still, very recognisably Ben Stiller. In it's own terms, the film works and is worth watching. [I watched to see more of mumblecore [=like this] actress Greta Gerwig. Funny looker, she scrubs up great in 'No Strings Attached']

Fine movie. There were some slow parts and it wasn't that funny. But it had a good storyline and good acting from Ben Stiller of course. I would say this is worth seeing.

It is really sad how people are used to American sitcom, cynical humor so much that they can't wrap their brains around something real and beautiful. This movie is one of those I didn't want to watch because it has such bad reviews on the internet and you almost had me there. I watched it and it is beautiful. The reason why Greenberg doesn't want to do shit is because people like you make doing anything senseless.

Its a very disappointing movie.
