4/5 I enjoyed this beginning to end, The soundtrack was perfect for every scene... every actor had something real about them...i was just immersed in this movie the whole way through.

Hillary Swank did a great job in this movie. Not a subject I would normally pick a movie about but I enjoyed the film. I'm going to follow this movie with The Brandon Teena Story: The Documentary.

I don't think I've ever wept so much at a film in my life!!! I can't ever bring myself to watch this film again, literally I'll never forget it for as long as I live!!! I know saying that has perhaps put you off but it truly is a must see!!! I don't think another film has ever had this much of an effect on me as this did!!! Blown away!

I threw up after watching this film. It's sick to think that there are people out there that would kill someone just because they are transgendered. Like that is going to magically fix everything. Brandon Teena unfortunately became a martyr for the lgbtq community. But thanks to his story and others like it, thousands of others are now earning the right to be equal and out without judgment. One of my favorite films for it's gruesome and brutal honesty and its depicting of real life.

Ahh....i am definately blown away by Hilary Swanks performance. i will have to say that this has to be her best performance in my opinion. All her films are compelling. 10/10 well done.

Ms Swank does it again, she takes a movie with the most horrid story line and literally makes you watch her performance; once you start watching you can't stop. I did have to forward thru some of the scenes, too violent for me, but the movie is a true story, and what happened could not have been put to film by anyone better than Ms Swank. She continues to amaze me, and this film, albeit a gutt-wrenching subject, is worth watching to see her performance and to learn tolerance of others. Judge not - and remember - there was no reason to do what they did - none! 9.5/10

An amazing although sad movie, well worth a watch

This was a sad movie. I never knew that it was based on a true story of the like of Teena Brandon. Its sad. But Mrs. Swank did a fabulous job in playing the role.. great movie 2 thumbs up 5/5

Man, this movie right here... it was the first film i watched years ago that really got me emotional, especially at the end. 5 out of 5, and a must see for any movie lover.

I soooo love this movie!! It's not because I'm a lesbian of course but its because it shows that love shows no bounderies... Good to know that justice is served for those men who raped and killed Teena. My heart goes for her =(

Didn't like the movie that much , Hilary wasn't convincing she was too feminin it was so obvious that she's a girl after reading the real story there was so manny left out things in the movie , idk in could have been better but it's not bad and teena wasn't transsexual she was a girl who pretended to be a guy in my opinion she was a lesbian calling her "he" is rediclous .
