Sir Didymus was my favourite ... nice family entertainment, with a very sweet Jen Connelly!! Saw this flick in Canada in '86 and - coming back to Germany - it took me friggin' 5 weeks to mailorder the soundtrack. Pre-Internet times ... kids nowadays got no clue as to how difficult that was (for seminar papers etc., you actually had to go to the library!)

Oh sweet nostalgia! after all these years I love this movie still.<3 One of my all time favorites, a must see for sure.

This was the only movie that matter when I was a kid. I'd watch it on tape and when it was finished i'd rewind it and watch it again. So much so, that to this day I can still recite word for word the first 20mins (or more) of dialog. You know you're getting old when you think "they just don't make movie like this anymore..." /5

For its time, this film was decent. Very unique and strange. The beginning and end could use some work honestly. The story just kind of jumps into the labyrinth and the end just jumps out of it.

Wonderful childhood memories from this film. They just don't create future nostalgia like they used to.

Pretty good movie. Can't stand some of the puppets or the baby CRYING. Love the short song when they are in the hall of stairs.
