The original version of The Lord of the Rings. Grew up watching this brought back so many memories. I enjoyed it. :)

I never had experienced this cartoon adaptation when I was a child and I hate to be one of those people who compare music, for example, Bruno mars sound like he samples the guitar sound from the Police. Like people who compare music thinking they discovered some kind of music secret really annoys me, but having said that.... The lemiwink's episodes, lemiwinks and bass to mouth on Southpark clearly ripped off the theme music from this cartoon.

I loved this film when I was a kid, and almost drove my mum insane singing the rather annoying theme music all day lol. I rewatched it now and still like it, so I give Mr Baggins 3.9/5 stars.

Though the newer live action LOTR films were much better, (and am VERY Excited about the new HOBBIT), I grew up on these LOTR cartoons which spurred me to read the books. Great for younger kids who found the live action a little difficult to follow. :)

Bilbo makes Frodo look like a punk. That is why it was hard to watch The lord of the rings movies. Great movies but frodo was always crying and punking out. If you grew up watching the Hobbit like I did, It's a let down with the character of his nephew. He was written that way, but it still stings(no pun/ bad pun) . Bilbo loved adventure. Hell, he sung about it(lol)! If the movie is anything like this classic, it will be great. Minus the singing,of course...

In the time of my youth we did not have an e-book, and this story plus the 'The Hobbit' were an awesome tale to read. When I was young my friends and I watched this together, we were so happy that the book became a televised animation, it was a great animation that was cool then and still is today. 5/5

hehe, a bit of a musical at times, but good none the less, is the classic book by Tolkein, old school animation, fairly true to the book, the writing of the tunes and song's sounds could have been better, characters were good, a nice 7-8/10, worth a watch for any Tolkein fan :)

It was this movie that turned me onto the books, which, between them all, provided countless hours of escapism for me growing up. Love, love, love it. The trilogy is great, too, as I'm sure the live action "The Hobbit" coming up will be, but this animated feature can't be beaten, either. Definitely worth a watch: 9/10.
