I read the reviews of this and couldn't remember the last time everything I read about a movie I hadn't heard of was popular so I gave this one a chance. I gotta admit I do NOT do the "edge of my seat" thing very often, but this one for sure had me there. I'm not gonna discuss the movie other than to say if you are THINKING about this one...just do it. You won't regret it.

Very Good, wish it was a part 2.

This is one of the best flicks of the genre I've seen in a very long time. Good, old fashioned, rock solid story telling that doesn't rely on visual trickery to scare the hell out of you. 10/10

I take back my words for Case 39. I cant believe, but this a few years old movie [the production began on back in 2006] is going to theaters in USA on 1 oct. 2010.

Not really a good one. The first hour was pretty good psychological thriller, but in the last 40 min. become more supernatural thriller and then become pretty bad and messy, but anyway i enjoy most parts of it and it was pretty stylish and with good atmosphere and actors, but now i can see why take 2 years to be released. It was released in april this year in theaters in UK, but it didnt do well in theaters. The Weinsten Co. have the rights to the movie for USA, but i kinda doubt that they will released it in theaters in december this year. I guess it will go stv in USA like Case 39 (2009). 7/10 from me

Nothing special, but there were some scary moments.

I can't make it all the way through too many films for lack of interest. But I genuinely enjoyed this one. The exception! 4/5

I have this movie on DVD, so I've seen it a lot of times and it freaks me out everytime. Love the head gymnastics that guy makes :P 5/5

If you are looking for a really good movie, a little suspense, a little scary...this is the one for you. It is really different and that is refreshing. I give it a 9/10. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is excellent in this movie!

Hmm I'm surprised by the positive feedback here b/c I've read mixed ones from other site. Seeing how this will probably take a few months or God knows when for a domestic release. I'll check it out even though my expectations are very low.

Okay Thriller, slow start, good acting, okay story but not quite original. I give this movie a 6,5/10.

I have watched other movies with Julianne Moore and find ( other than Children of Men) that something is lacking in the films. I watched till the end but I still find its a one time watch. 7/10

A strong performance from Ms. Moore made this an enjoyable watch. I'd say Shelter is more a psychological thriller than a horror though. 3/5 from me.

This was excellent... if you've never seen an extremely similar film that came almost 10 yrs before it. I wish they'd just make remakes instead of retitling and re-characterizing older films, but I guess art imitates art. Julian Moore is always a pleasure to watch. On the other hand, Jonathan Rhys Meyers is fantastic to watch. He really pulls his character performances through the roof, and is extremely creepy. Despite seeing this film before in 1998, I enjoyed it quite a bit. 8/10

Wow! This was one of the scariest movie's I've ever seen! Didn't think there were any left for me to see. Lot's of suspsense, horror and pyschologically thrilling from beginning to end. You won't want to miss it. This movie is NOT slow movie AT ALL. There are many twists, so pay attention! 10/10

This movie was just ok for me. If your in to pyschological thrills then this would be a good movie to watch. Long and slow at some parts. Not very many twists and turns. Just a lot of whodunit. Ok to past the time. 2/5

I really enjoyed this movie, it kept me interested all the way through. Jonathan Rhys Meyers did a spectacular job playing his role! I gave it 4/5. He also did a great job in The Tudors and August Rush.

Well,well... what is the message then??? if you don't believe you have your soul stolen??? obviously scriptwriters are running out of decent ideas...even in horror movies.I feel sorry for Julianne Moore,she is a great actress,but should have passed on this one....2/5.

Ya like everyone else said,great thriller,didnt see much Horror in this,but what the heck,it was a great watch,acting was really good,Jonathons acting was excellent,plus he had to talk without his Brit accent,thats not an easy thing for one,plus he pulled off the different personalities like a pro,the twists alone are sometimes hard to project,but thats the shit I like,Mrs.Moore was also superb,,,,I wont go on, as not to give this Haunting Chiller away,,so Id say give this a go old boy,and see what you come away with,,,so on a scale from 1-10 I rate this lights out windows shut a 9....I have only given this high of a rating 2 other times,,but hay everyone has their on gig on movies,this is just what I thought.....

First I'm a girl but I don't get scared of movies even when I'm alone in my house watching them at 3 am. But this movie...I had to get up and turned the lights on. I didn't "scare the crap outta me",I don't think I'll be able to take a crap for a month cause my booty's so clenched up.lol

great film 10/10 scared the sh*t out of me haha wont sleep 2night
