Beautiful movie. You will be left unsatisfied due to the bad ending but I would watch this again!

Perhaps I was expecting something more or something different... but I gave up on this quickly. Didn't like the way it was shot, the narrative approach, the fact it's set 25 years ago. Just NO! I'm not even rating it!

The title is the most interesting thing about this movie.

I watched this movie a long time ago but definitely I liked it a lot. Very deep drama, touching and interesting.

Definitely one strange movie but I felt I really connected with it, real sad outcome, good to watch multiple times, 5/5

this movie is definitely different. i was kind of confused the whole time with how the boys were involved with the girl's life, but it was definitely an interesting ending. i'd give it a 2/5.

Intriguing and dark tale that just pulls you in. Atmospheric and haunting in a way that I've never seen before. Fantastic movie by Sophia Coppola, with a great 1970s soundtrack.

For those that didn't know, this is a book. (I haven't read it yet, but I think it will probably be better than the movie.) There's something wierd about this film. It's slow paced but still makes you want to know what is going to happen. I wouldn't recommend it though.

This is one of my ALL TIME fav films, mainly cos it stars my all time fav actress Kirsten Dunst. She was stunningly hot in this. I love the soundtrack too.

This was a very good, haunting story. I didn't think I would like it, however a friend recommended it, so I watached it and found it to be intriquing, honest, and very well done. The acting by Turner and Woods was perfection, and Dunst did her usual great job. The director pieced it together brilliantly, with flashbacks, flashforwards, dreams and reality, all interwoven into an exceptional movie. And the fact that ''we'll never know why'' rings so true, not just in the movie, but in real life. 5/5

Excellent movie! some may find it boring but I would think most find it emotionally moving and powerful, definitely not a very cheerful movie but excellent just the same. 9/10.

I am sorry but what @$%&* was this!! those little girls were nuts! I feel bad for the boys they never had a chance.boring boring.....boring nothing happens they just die.WELL I'm not telling any spoilers.Well I really don't understand why people liked but well ...

very sad movie... i can understand a pressure that strict parents can put on you but they really needed to talk more about the girls... i understood why kirsten dust character was gone and why the youngest was gone but the others really didn't have a problem so that was weird... but very good acting.. it so weird that everybody is in this movie and there all successfull actors . josh harnett great actor. great movie tho.

worth watching. i watched it b/c hayden christenson and josh harnett were in it, but ever since inteview with a vampire, kirsten duntz surprises me at how great an actress she really is, she's so unsuspecting that you dont think she would be but she just is. she has played some very difficult parts. this was a sad movie tho, no way around that but at least you knew that going in. 3/5
