Not one of my favorites but still a good family Sci-Fi movie 3/5

A wonderful story told with imagination. Delightfully entertaining without all the over-the-top fx, acting and blood-guts-gore-horror of todays movies. If you are looking for realism then watch the news, if you want good entertainment then movies like this one will be classics forever. 5/5

When I lasted watched this I remember liking the story, crying over Bob, feeling slightly scared of Maximilian, and above all terrified of the music! I would love to watch this again, because I thought that it was a good film, but even now, the thought of that music still sends shivers up my spine, and creeps me out! If only there was a version without the music...

My 8 year old says this reminds him of Star Wars, lol. Sort of, in a way, with those laser guns I guess... Complicated concepts in this movie. I would not like to find out firsthand what lies at the other end of a 'black hole'.

This movie, is a classic. A great movie for someone in between the ages to watch. A never-too-young-never-too old classic, that's great for the entire family. Even though much older, the effects were unforgettable.

Pretty good sci-fi film. Great casting. Entertaining with some pretty good special effects. Well worth seeing.
