what an amazing film, the beginning was comical and the ending was sad. The description gives the movie no justice at all, definitely worth a watch 10/10 Wont mind watching it 10 times.Too good

Wow the description does NOT describe this film. It is sad with a handful of disturbing scenes. Yes it's beautiful & well cast but I'd like to erase some images from my memory.

it a great movie....

it was very beautiful.. ignoring the fact that people were very brutal, this film portrays what its like to undergo puberty, that first time when you feel something towards someone and it catches you off guard because you just dont know what to do! :D and also it was set in the time of war.. great historical setting.. well thats a given, Italy is a beautiful country.. ive watched this before, the dubbed version and i have to watch it again.. and it just got better because i now understand it perfectly! it was very beautiful how his feelings changed but he still feel for her.. it was beautiful! overall rating 9/10!

Yes, we can all agree that this is a classic! But tell me do you guys think a woman would say that! This movie is like a young mans/boys dream to meet a beautiful woman and fall in love! :) I actually afraid to watch it again!!! I have a girlfriend and this movie reminds me way to much of my past!

It was a difficult movie to watch, some aspects of it reminded me of Mary Kay Letorneau (convicted female pedophile) but then in a larger context, I suppose guys would identify with this film since it talks about growing up, idolising a woman, etc. But MB acted well as the grieving widow who was not given any chances at all through no fault of her own. I liked the ending however. Great soundtrack too.

Wonder film. Good explanation of when a boy realizes the difference between hormones and his sex drive to love and actual respect. This is an edited version and w/o subtitles. They took alot of the nudity out though in this copy. That isn't what the story is about but does lend a visual insight into the imagination and just how far the boy and others went with it. 7/10
