This is the third time I've seen this movie, and it was just as good this time as it was the first time! Excellent movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing film that depicts paleocontact more truthfully than any other movie of my knowledge. Original story and wonderful plot work, this movie gave birth to one of the most successful franchises ever. A must watch science fiction classic, and I love this movie, even though I hate sand.

The classic that started many classic tv series. This ranks up with star trek as far appeal, and popularity. Definitely a must see 10/10

This is the second time I've seen this movie and it gets better every time I see it. Kurt Russell was great, but Jaye Davidson is just pure sexy.

Based on the true believes of many Archeologists, Scientist and other, ten thousend years ago there was very advanced race that came to earth to enslave the poeple. Not only did they teach them to build the pyramids, but there things leaft behind as they left the planet someday. In the early 20th century a huge ring was found, much later it was discovered to a gateaway to other worlds and well, of course they use it. This movie came out the year I was born in and indeed, it changed my life. This may sound like i'm exeggarating but it was the very beginning of a fantastic journey with the the greatest of humankind (I know it's fiction). You should not regret watching it. The storyline is awesome, the acting ist well... the 90ties but hey, all in all wonderfull :)

pretty decent movie, would have liked it more if the ancient language they were speaking had subtitles, this killed good 25% of the movie. Nice acting thou. I rated it 3/5.

3/5 ....It seemed this movie was an underdog from the get go, It was really amazing to stumble on this movie and see this in the theatre as a kid, I had no idea what I was going to watch, I don't even remember previews for it.... but not having any hype for it, I walked out very satisfied.... I still watch it to this day.... It's a nifty little story.... and good cast too.

in some ways, the series SG1 is better than the movie, as hard as that is to do.

When this movie broke into the theater i was anchored on my seat, mouth and eyes wide open. It was such a cool movie. Although it stands in the shadow of the lame TV series it is far better in all aspects. It should be counted among classics.

good little girl stole the pendant and kept it to old age.funny how germans and brits helped themselves to anything they liked in all places the excavated for "scientific purposes"...

This was amazing right up until the end where they start shooting each other, whats all that about, and whys that always got to happen?,and the bomb idea was dumb, still a great sci fi idea, just hated the end of the movie unfortunately :(
