one of the best movies i have seen in a long time 4.5/5 and i never give 5/5 so that is a big movie for its type, lost half a point because i felt things escalated way too fast

Really enjoyed this one. I love forrest and adrian respectively. I am definitely a psych thriller fan and mental health professional so this one was right up my alley 9/10. Hate it wont be in theaters though.......

very believable great acting awesome a little dark

Not far from the daily dog pack we call live in. There is an order of how some do and would be in a role of in charge. I saw this movie several months ago but it lingers in details. This should be on everyone's must watch list also include "The Lives of Others" very different but a must watch.

Very intense film based on the Zimbardo experiment. Worth a watch

Awesome film! loved it. In case everyone didnt know this movie took the idea of The Stanford prison experiment where it was actually performed at a university, I suggest you watch the small doco on that too.

The men in The Experiment are given roles as prisoners or guards, and each slowly sees within himself the violence and brutality that lurks within. An excellent film led by a good cast, it will have you on the edge of your chair. 4/5 faved

I like the story line and how they use them as an experiment. the were all given roles to play which brought out the true person they were trying to hide..we all had the true us by the way.the action was also enjoyable.i also like the cast who acted in this flick..you would enjoy it. 5/5

Great film, phsycologically a bit disturbing

Great movie! As usual, when Adrien Brody plays a character, he's 100%, completely believable. Also, I just learnt an experiment - like the one in the film - actually happened! Funny, I'd never heard of 'the Zimbardo experiment at Stanford' (I suppose that info wasn't mentioned at the end of the movie to prevent any legal ramifications).

"The Experiment" had every reason to be great, however the director and etc. consistently made elementary mistakes that resulted in this film not living up to it's own potential. The seemingly unreal can occur in real life, however there remained errors that left me rolling my eyes and chastising the films believability; eyeliner, jewelry, cliche stereotypical music that is to alert us that the shyt has hit the fan so to speak and so much more. Whitaker's character was not given full opportunity to pull us in and entertain us. Adrien Brody's character, well... he could have played that role in his sleep. The film lacks the journey into a downward spiral and displays no organic grit to back it up. Self exploration of human response and behavior when either in position of power and/or powerless was the hurdle that this film quickly ran away from. "The Experiment" lacks rough edges and instead provides consistant gloss. Before the closing credits I found myself questioning over over "Why wasn't it better?". This film experimented alright and my conclusion reads "Try again in a couple of months". My entire review/comment should appear shortly down below in the -Reviews- section, def' check it out. movies like this are hard for me to watch people being cruel to others like that make me sick to my stomach i like the movie though but i can say i will never watch it again but thats just me.

I didn't know this was based on an actual experiment, but it's easy to believe. I think the human psyche is an easy thing to breakdown. At the end of the day, we really are just animals.

good film. worthy remake imo, and im not much a fan of brody. everyone did a great job and the film really hits you in some strange places. what an ending too... it left me somewhat speechless because i know this darkness does exist in the soul of man, without it, light and positivity wouldnt.

It was actually a really good movie; however, in terms of psychological button pushing, the timeline was off. Two things need to be done to push someone past breaking - Intensity and Time. If you lack Time, you need more Intensity; if you lack Intensity, you need more Time. That's how psychological button pushing 101 works. So, this movie was flawed for a psychological thriller, but it did provide great entertainment and a raised a lot of questions during the movie! Conspiracy theorists should watch this as well, for it is up your alley a bit! 7/10, downside being psychological flaws.

5/5 but its' a ficition, true Zimbardo's experiment was cut off after few days 'cause people behaved too dangerous.

I would never volunteer for an experiment like this just for some extra cash. This movie was crazy!

Adrien Brody does great acting and the storyline appears just real 9/10.
