The "Game over man" line sounded so familiar. Where could I have heard it from?

Sci-fi movies seem to go in two seperate categories (for the most part), mainly ones with action and/or ones with ideas. I am a fan of the more idea-based sci-fi movies (e.g. Blade Runner) as opposed to the more simple action-based ones, but this movie is the exception. Simply put, this is the perfect action science fiction movie. Keep in mind this is the special edition version and not the theatrical release (i recommend the theatrical version). The aliens are the most menacing monsters in any movie, and not enough can be said about Sigourney Weaver. Talk about girl power. In my opinion, the GREATEST SCI FI MOVIE OF ALL TIME, 10/10.

One of the most Iconic Sci Fi's of its era and def one of my favs of all time still as tenacious as always in my book with all the suspense thrills and total ACTION alien movies of all time just true work of ART awesome!! To me this is the best one out of all of them I think?.....5/5

This is the first time I am seeing the extended edition. 20 minutes into the movie and it looks promising.

In my opinion it was better than the first.

This is the frist time i have watched all the Alien movies i know i am behind the times but so far the frist one and the 2nd ones r good i still have 4 more to go

Great movie from a time where most sequels were horrible. Sigourney Weaver, Bill Paxton, and Lance Henriksen were all great, as was Paul Reiser playing the company man.

I kinda like this one a little bit, but not as much as the first one.

Best sequel in the history of sequels.

This was AMAZING!!! Gave me goose bumps when she came out in that heavy lifter machine thingy 10/10 Would recommend it to anyone!

@ Splifff737 , The 1st was a Masterpiece And this one was a really good follow up but you say your favs are this and the 3rd, lol the 3rd was pure crap and all the rest of the movies they made were just as bad! But hey its your opinion. So i say if you haven't watched the 1st one ite the best and this is brilliant too!!!

Id say this is the best film out of all the aliens. Ok so its more of an action film, but it still has the suspence & thrill you need.

@duck_sick..What the hell are you smoking!!?? I very rarely see or hear anyone say anything less than this being one of the all time horror/sci-fi classics. What it accomplishes without a butt load of CGI is nothing short of phenomenal. Some may say its not quite as good as the first (I dont agree, but one could make the argument), but to call it garbage. Wow, obviously you know next to nothing about good cinema.

and then he says "why don't you put her in charge" talking about the little girl. lol

While the first installment pended to space horror, this sequel's more of an action science-fiction movie than horror. Although the aliens are the same creatures as the one in the first film, they move differently and act more like a predatory beast than a grisly thing trying to hide, killing its way through. Given this fact, I think it gave rise to the dreadful view of the alien creature, even more than the first film. It was my favorite till they launched the fourth, which combines horror and action perfectly.

A great sequel! Really an amazing film, with amazing acting. James Cameron is great. This is definately a must see!

What a timeless classic. Loved at as a kid, loved it more 20 years later, and too my surprise there was deleted footage in this version ive never seen which was great. What really did it for me with this movie as a kid was how intensely life like these aliens appeared, anamotronics just give the aliens that terrifying realistic feel, cause they ARE actually there. Gorman puts on an A++ performance when he is trying to guide the team into the cooling system from the car, you can really feel his fear.Fav lines by far are 1. "Maybe you havent been keeping up on current events but we just got our asses kicked pal!" 2. "WHY DONT YOU PUT HER IN CHARGE!!" lol. 10/10

it a long movie but it s worth it! u don t waste not even one minute of your time by watching it!! it s so good! and i can say that it s even better than the first one (which is excellent!!!)..i really like the way they connected the first movie with this one..a must watch! 10/10

If you like horror movies, you will probably prefer Alien. If you like action movies, you will probably prefer Aliens. Both are unforgettable movies. See both!

This film has done more for science fiction films than any other movie to date. Great story, characters, and incredibly cheesy/awesome dialog . I still can't believe how they managed to make the xenomorphs move with such fluidity back in the mid 80's. Incredible movie and an absolute must watch for any person who likes action movies.

I really don't understand how everyone thinks this one is better than the original. Sure it's got action, but it also has all that crappy James Cameron dialogue and that Bill Paxton sounding like a teenage surfer with down syndrome. Were they mining Unobtainium on that planet?

I voted 5/5 and I could see 4/5 if sci-fi/horror is not your fave. But half of the people voted it 3/5 or less. I would like one of them to message me so I can understand the other side, because I'm confused!
