I am surprised that more people haven't seen this gem! It's a slightly less satyrical slightly more realistic look at the music business than movies like Velvet Goldmine, and just as good. I highly recommend this for Hazel O'Connors performance onstage and off in this movie, the soundtrack and original songs written for this film, and the snapshot in history that this film provides. I like how the backdrop to most of her songs is the dehumanisation coming from impending computer control of everyday life coupled with oppressive social mores. 'You are a program.' Concepts that hold up today, now more than ever! 4.5/5, very good and very necessary viewing.
